INTRODUCTION

Auditing key projects and assessing risk for projects can be a highly worthwhile endeavor that can save an organization significant embarrassment as well as time and money. The purpose of a project audit (sometimes referred to as a project health check) is to uncover problematic issues, concerns and challenges during the execution of the project and correct them before it`s too late.

It provides an interim view of what has gone well and what needs improvement within the project plan to successfully complete the project. Conducting a project audit mid-way through can help struggling projects to get back on track by uncovering problems.
